In the aftermath of her father’s death Amy (19) has taken to wearing a mask.

It is time for the world and especially her mother, Celia, to see that she is different. But when her mother refuses to acknowledge there’s a problem, Amy and her mother resort to extreme tactics to get what they want from each other...

The Girl in the Mask is about undiagnosed autism.

Brad Sutherland has had plays performed at White Bear, The Park, Southwark Playhouse and the OSO. He won the Best Play award from Player Playwrights in 2023 and was runner up in 2024.
