Summer 1931 and Mancunian Kay Rothwell arrives unexpectedly at her favourite bolthole by the sea. Proprietor John Barlow is quick to notice Kay's unrest, but he struggles to determine exactly what is occupying her mind. As the mask of cordiality slips, Kay unleashes a tempest of emotions, forcing John to confront certain truths, plunging his whole household into a new reality...
Danielle Redland is a psychodynamic psychotherapist. In 2018 she was awarded her PhD in Psychoanalytic Studies from Goldsmiths University, and her thesis was reworked into a book, published by Routledge. Her first career was in television production, which she pursued having completed an MA in Text and Performance Studies at Kings College, London and RADA.
