A very special evening celebrating the life and work of Peter Vincent, one of Player Playwrights most talented and successful writer members, who died in July.

Over his distinguished career, Peter wrote for many of Britain’s biggest comedy names, including Tommy Cooper, Les Dawson, Kenneth Williams and particularly with Dave Allen and the stars of The Two Ronnies, Corbett and Barker.

Peter's son will talk about his dad's work and his relationship with writing.

There will be readings of samples from Peter's work, including episode 1 of When The Dog Dies, written together with Ian Davidson and broadcast on BBC Radio 4, as well as appreciations of Peter and a chance for discussion and comment including what we take away from the evening and Peter's contribution to our group over the years.

The evening starts at 7pm and includes a buffet.

Everyone, whether you knew Peter or not, is very welcome to join us.
