NEXT STOP by Aceil Haddad, 7.30pm Monday 26 January, at the North London Tavern

NEXT STOP, to be performed by Carol Morgan, follows Gwen, a 97 year old going about her day on London's buses.

This is a monologue, not by choice, but by society's dismissal and hostility of age and gender. As she travels, familiar landmarks trigger memories of Gwen's life, prompting references to love, her career and missed opportunities...

Aceil Haddad is new to playwriting. She runs a corporate communications business and has a passion for volunteering, leading communications in national campaigns and serving as a trustee/chair/school governor locally. Aceil met a Gwen-like character on the 214 bus - a conversation ensued that inspired her to write this play, which then led to several others.

This short play will give us a chance to mingle and chat afterwards.
