METHYLENE BLUE explores the consequences of using experimental drugs such as Methylene Blue on a soldier who claims to have been blinded during World War One, but rather than being sent to a normal hospital, he is sent to a psychiatric one to determine if his injuries are genuine or if he is trying to avoid going back to the front line...

Nirjay Mahindru's previous plays - The Bottle, Mandragora King of India, The Hot Zone and Golgotha have all been professionally produced and performed at places such as the Tron Glasgow, Bristol Old Vic, Lyric Theatre Hammersmith, Tristan Bates, BAC, Croydon Warehouse, Watermans Art Centre and Brady Arts Centre. The Hot Zone was Time Out's Critics Choice Number 1 show in London. All Nirjay's plays have been published by Oberon Books.

Nirjay Mahindru is also an actor and founder of the theatre company, Conspirators' Kitchen. He runs a charity called InterAct Stroke Support which takes professional actors into hospitals to read to stroke survivors.
