Jeeves and the Song of Songs by Francis Beckett

Bertie toddles happily along to his old friend Revd “Beefy” Bingham’s East End concert, only to find to his horror that he’s expected to sing. And Jeeves seems strangely unwilling to help.

Based on the P.G. Wodehouse story of the same name, this play has been approved by the Wodehouse estate.

Francis Beckett is a journalist and author who wants to be a playwright when he grows up. Four of his plays have had good fringe productions and two of these are now published by Samuel French. Another was broadcast on radio, and his latest, A Modest Little Man, played to packed houses at the Bread & Roses last month.

The theme for the next Players Playwright short play contest is The Times Are A-Changin' and the deadline for entries is Monday 18 February. Click here for details and get writing!
