Monday, 18th September: The First Modern Man by Michael Barry
A new one man play about Michel de Montaigne, a sixteenth century French nobleman who retired from public to live quietly in contemplation. Instead he created the genre of essay writing and became one of the most significant philosophers of the French Renaissance.
